The Orange Coast IBM PC User Group (OCIPUG) was founded in 1985 as a resource to current and prospective IBM PC-compatible computer users in California’s Orange County and surrounding areas (south of LA). OCIPUG is an independent, California, non-profit (501.c.3) corporation not affiliated with any vendor or supplier. This user group is a member of the “Association of Personal Computer User Groups” (APCUG). All the meetings noted below are open to the general public, without fee.

Focus: Scanning and Restoring Photos - Old
pictures fade and degrade with time which is why it is important to
fix your old and damaged photos before
it is too late. We will look
at
the quickest, easiest and most affordable way to scan your photos, slides
and negatives.
Use
the tools in Photoshop Elements
to
achieve the optimum color and
density
clean
up, and fix flaws,
adjust the contrast,
and
remove the yellow cast and
replace
missing areas of your photos to end up
with the best possible restoration of your photos.

OCIPUG Membership
Members receive a meeting reminder and the monthly newsletter (README.DOC) via e-mail (the online newsletter archive is on a three month delay). Member dues help the group pay its bills (liability insurance, APCUG membership fee, equipment maintenance, web site domain name registration and hosting fees, and raffle prizes). Memberships run from September through August and are prorated for those joining after September. The membership form, including dues schedule, is available at (link).
